Our crowd has been spending time in the mountains. The crowd is huge, and someone is always looking for something to do, even with a lake to the front and a mountain to the back. One of our youngsters came upon a harmonica in the house. You can imagine how thrilled I was when he was told he could keep it. His playing became the constant background noise for the balance of the day. I realized it needed to be confiscated at bedtime or there was no hope of sleep for anyone. I made him hand it over, promising to put it somewhere safe. Morning came, he asked for it back, and I went to grab it from my jeans pocket. No harmonica… After distracting him with breakfast, I began the search. I went through my baskets (they really work great when traveling!), then my suitcase, then the entire cabin. At this point, I was pretty much panicking. Talk about being a rotten grandmother! I headed to the bedroom to get ready for the day, pulled on my jeans and found the harmonica in the back, rather than the front pocket. I definitely need a vacation from this vacation!
Wishing you fun filled summer days,
Mary Beth
