2024 QC Applique Saturday Sampler ~ “Wild” Flowers

My favorite part of a project, the very first step, takes place this Saturday (1-20-24)!!! Our new Saturday Sampler applique program will begin at 9:00am Saturday for those who have registered. Yes, that means if you registered before Wednesday of this week you made it into the group! The bright colors, and bold flowers, of the 80” x 80” project will have you thinking spring, no matter the weather. We’ll share the pattern, applique fabrics, and a bit of instruction during the session, and then you will be off and stitching!

QC Fat Quarter Fling Info ~

So this is one I wish I didn’t have to write - if the weather is frightful, please call before you set out for the shop. We have never had snow on a Fat Quarter Fling date, but this could be the year… We will do our best to keep you informed via online letter, or social media, if we need to modify plans. I realize those of you with a QC date book may be the most impacted - I apologize in advance - if only I could control the weather!!!! Hopefully we will be able to share pre-cut (yes, even those in coordinated stacks, and rolls!), in stock fat quarters at just $1.36 each, exactly as planned.

William Morris Buttermere Trunk Show!

The current installation of Buttermere quilts and bags is truly impressive! It will be packed up to head east on Monday - I so hope you have a chance to stop in to take a look before then! 

QC Quilt Builder Card Deck 3 Sew Along

Our new sew along, featuring blocks from the card deck, began this week. I thought you might like a peek at my blocks for week 1. I adore the prints ebond creates, and decided this is my chance to cut into them. Her newest group, Ravel, is so much fun to work with!!! You can still join the project if you would like - just let us know you’re interested.

At the end of December we shared information about our Clearance Creation Challenge. We’ve seen some finished entries already - how is yours coming?

This seems like the right moment to mention, when the weather seems “iffy” you might want to call the shop before setting out. The hills in our area become treacherous very quickly! We try to share information about shop closings on social media, but an old fashioned call sometimes works best. Needless to say, if we don’t answer, we haven’t made it in!
