Dear Friends,

While on the trail earlier in the week a shiny object ahead caught my attention. Fearing someone may have dropped their glasses or that it could be a piece of sharp metal, I scurried to the spot (can you imagine me scurrying - ok, stop laughing…). When I reached the shiny object I was completely surprised. It was a leaf, covered in dew, facing exactly the right direction to catch the morning sun. It made me wonder how many unique sights I miss in the haste of daily life. I’m going to try to appreciate the little details, as well as the big picture, this week!

Wishing you a week filled with pleasant surprises,

Mary Beth

Please note - This Saturday (10-28-23) those in our end of the month pieced Sampler program may pick up your next block kit, a letter explaining the block and the beginning of the setting directions at any time during the day (so sorry - we will not meet at 9:00). The blocks and a setting example will be there for you to see (and your friends that work in the shop will be able to help with questions). Be sure to bring your completed block from last month so your new block is free. I will be off at Quilt Market looking for ideas for you for next year!

Those in our Stash Management Club will meet at 10:30am. Your session will be led by a guest presenter. She can’t wait to see your show and tell pieces (I’ve told her how fabulous they are!) and to share ideas and a new pattern. I think you are going to love the meeting.

Be sure to check your 2023 QC date book for the coupon offer that begins today (10-27-23). This certainly is a guest favorite! And just as important, look for the 2024 QC date book during our Holiday Open House November 3rd and 4th.
