Dear Friends,
I was excited to have the help of our youngest staff member as I photographed some quilts outside last week. Of course, the minute we started the wind picked up. Even with help, I couldn’t hold on to the pin box and wrangle the quilts, so I stuck some pins in my shirt. With a bemused look, my helper questioned why I would do that. I promised I would be careful, keep track of how many pins I had there, and not stick myself. I need to be more careful about what I promise… After a quick stop at the post office later that day, I panicked as I was being stung in the shoulder while driving. I feared a wasp was under my seatbelt. It could have been a wasp, but instead was a nice long quilting pin. I returned to the post office the next day, parked in the same spot as usual, looked down as I stepped out of the car only to see two more quilt pins on the ground. I could have been “stung” by a whole swarm!
Hoping you have no trouble keeping track of your sharp sewing implements this week,
Mary Beth
