I’m looking forward to our pieced Saturday Sampler meeting on Saturday morning (10-7-23). Those in our beginning of the month session will receive the next kit in the series, and enjoy a bit of show and tell, and technique instruction. We’ve just received both new French General and Morris print groups - is it time to think about how you are going to set your blocks?! We’ll start the discussion about setting this month! We just finished putting together kits for Free Fall. The petite, 6” x 18”, project features three pieced leaves, worked in warm fall colors. The kit includes the pattern, fabrics for the front, back and binding, all tucked in a cute little container. The leaves are falling so fast here, this may be the only way to appreciate fall color soon!

Intro to Quilting ~ Lecture

Friday ~ October 20th ~ 1:00pm-4:00pm

We think you will find our new Intro to Quilting lecture (includes demonstrations and a little hands on sewing) most helpful! The three hour session will begin with a presentation on how to select fabrics for a project, move on to the other supplies needed, then cutting for quilting, piecing, quilting and finishing! Your class fee includes the pattern for Daisy Mae. The pieced runner pattern will help illustrate the points being made during the session, and will provide a pattern you understand, and are ready to work on, when you get home! Lots of information packed into a single session - so very valuable!

Holiday Twist

Saturday ~ October 28th ~ 1:00pm-4:00pm



This new class will help you create a bold 62” x 77” scrap style quilt. The twenty 12” x 12” pieced blocks in the sample were created from holiday print scraps - it would be just as wonderful in historic, or bright, or batik, or… You get the idea! You will be happy to hear, modern piecing techniques will be used (all those points are made from squares and rectangles!). The class will cover block construction, including how to work the partial seams used during construction of the blocks, and how to set and border your blocks. This one is going to be fun!
