Dear Friends,

I share lots of stories about our youngest, but her older sister has her moments, too. She loves her family, her friends, her community, her cats,... (I’m pretty certain those aren’t in order from most to least favorite…). She’s also very creative, a most talented photographer. She wrote a little about herself, and included the required selfie, before attending a business conference last week. She wasn’t thrilled with having to send the photo, and she really wasn’t thrilled to find her verbiage edited, and then published with grammatical errors (if you read something of mine with the commas in the correct places, you can be sure she has edited it!). As she entered the first event of the conference someone began calling her name. She figured they couldn’t be calling her, as she knew not a single person in the room - incorrect assumption on her part. Did I mention her selfie included not only herself, but also one of her gorgeous kitties?! In fact, his face was front and center! As it turns out, she was the person everyone “knew” before they even met!

I hope you have chances to do things your way this week. You never know what will happen when you do.

This Saturday (5-6-23) those in our beginning of the month pieced Saturday Sampler session will meet at 9:00am. There will be new things to see, new techniques to cover, and best of all, a kit for the next block in the series. Don’t forget to bring your completed block from the last session so you can get your new kit as our gift!

QC Anniversary Celebration!

May 5th and 6th

Oh my gosh, we can’t believe another year has flown by! The beginning of our 35th year calls for a celebration! There will be quilts to see, goodies to win (including an incredible stack of 35 fat quarters and a $35.00 gift certificate, a collection of 35 Villa Rosa pattern cards, and the chance to win three yards of fabric free every month for a year - can you imagine - you would be picking up your 36th free yard when we start our 36th year!!!), treats to eat, and even a little gift for you (be sure to ask why the fabrics in the cute little stacks are the color they are!). While we say it’s a celebration of the shop, it’s really a celebration of all of you, just a small thank you to all the friends we have made over the years

Just a quick question for those in our May 12th Quilters Day Out - are you almost ready?! We think we have managed to speak with everyone, but just in case - do you have a supply list, can we answer any questions before next week? Give a call, or stop in, if there is something you need before next Friday.

I’ve been mentioning the deluge of fabulous spring fabric that has been arriving nearly every day. Now I have a completely different style to mention. I fear if I don’t mention it now, it will be long gone when you realize you want it! Can you guess what it might be? Comfort and Joy, from Create Joy Project, was carefully pulled from its shipping box earlier today. As in other Create Joy Project lines, the watercolor style prints are gorgeous! Pink, red, plum, green, and blue flowers, dots, trees, and text combine for an elegant holiday feel (yup, you read that right - holiday fabric!). This truly joyous group is inspiring me - how about you?
