Dear Friends,

Keeping track of friends is done so differently from how it used to be done. While out to dinner, my youngest got a text from a highschool friend, who now lives in New York City, asking, “Where are you?”. Youngest responded with her city’s name, and maybe an eye roll, too… The friend's next text said, “No, exactly where are you, my phone says I’m 200 feet from you.” (to put that in perspective, that is only four times the length of Quilters Corner!). At that point youngest had to admit she was in Taco Bell, and it was a celebration so she couldn’t sneak out (nope, I didn’t ask!). Not to worry, they managed to spend a little time togethter the next day. I’ve always said I won’t share my location on my phone, but now I’m not so sure. I wonder how often I’ve been close to old friends without realizing…

Wishing you time with friends, old and new, this week,

Mary Beth

Oh my gosh - I’m terribly excited to say, we start a new applique Saturday Sampler project this week! On Saturday (1-21-23) those registered will meet in the shop at 9:00am. We will share details about the new quilt, From Our Garden, and hand out the first block packet. A new year, a new project - what could be better?!

QC Fat Quarter Fling!

Saturday ~ January 21st

10:00am-4:00pm

I figure at this point almost everyone realizes fat quarters will be offered at the Fling price of just $1.35 each this Saturday (check your QC date book for more info). Talk about an incredible deal! There are fat quarters all over the shop - individual ones in baskets and trays, and lovely coordinated stacks in almost every corner. I think it best to point out, this is one of those times when a bit of pre-planning might be in order. Be sure to have a list of how many fat quarters you need for your projects, and the yardage amounts of additional needed fabrics. It is very hard for us to accurately figure for you in the frenzy of the fling. Also please note, we do not cut fat quarters during the Fling.

The boxes delivered Tuesday held a gorgeous collection. We were finally able to unpack Primrose, new from Laundry Basket, this afternoon.  Edyta’s elegant florals, paisleys, and tiny geometric designs are offered in rich brown, teal, rose, green, gold, and cream this time. I envision the prints used for her True North pattern, or her Montana, or Alaska, or almost any one of her spectacular designs. I can't wait to cut into them!!!

Fabric $12.60 per yard
