Dear Friends,
Keeping track of friends is done so differently from how it used to be done. While out to dinner, my youngest got a text from a highschool friend, who now lives in New York City, asking, “Where are you?”. Youngest responded with her city’s name, and maybe an eye roll, too… The friend's next text said, “No, exactly where are you, my phone says I’m 200 feet from you.” (to put that in perspective, that is only four times the length of Quilters Corner!). At that point youngest had to admit she was in Taco Bell, and it was a celebration so she couldn’t sneak out (nope, I didn’t ask!). Not to worry, they managed to spend a little time togethter the next day. I’ve always said I won’t share my location on my phone, but now I’m not so sure. I wonder how often I’ve been close to old friends without realizing…
Wishing you time with friends, old and new, this week,
Mary Beth
