Dear Friends,
Our youngest got a cell phone when she was quite little, much to the annoyance of her older siblings. She was so young, we had her phone “connected” to mine (which sounded like a really good idea at the time…). One of my sweeties gave me an Apple watch for Christmas. I was terribly excited as I began to set it up. About two steps in, it said I needed to update my phone. At that point, it basically said nope and laughed at me (ok, I might have imagined the laughter). As you might be able to guess, my phone was too old to work with the watch. Santa graciously got me a new phone (and my eldest helped set it up). Then it was back to the watch. I carefully went through every step, from my name, to preferences for every function. Yesterday morning I strapped it on and headed to the trail. The watch gave lots of positive reinforcement as I went along. When I got home I took it off and laid it on the table, at which point it said, “Congratulations Lizzi you’ve met your exercise goals for today!”... She’s pretty proud she’s figured a way to meet her exercise goals before even getting out of bed!
Wishing you just as much success with your goals for the new year!
