Greetings!

Cleaning isn’t a favorite activity in our house. When I ask, my youngest will do it, but on her terms, which includes music played at full volume. Her time cleaning the classroom bathroom this week involved lots of paper towels and the Big Time Rush Christmas album. She is clearly still celebrating Christmas in July (in August). After thoroughly cleaning the sink, using lots of water and Comet cleaning solution, it was sparkling. She found it strange though that her sneakers caught on the carpet as she headed across the classroom. Turns out, if you listen to Big Time Rush at top volume you can’t hear the water gushing from the broken pipe under the sink… By the time she realized what was happening a small lake had already formed! Good news - the pipe is now fixed and the floor is as sparkly as the sink!

Wishing you a wonderful week with no unexpected cleaning jobs,
Mary Beth
On Saturday (8-6-22) those registered for the beginning of the month pieced Saturday Sampler session will meet at 9:00am. We have lots to share. You will receive the next block kit in the series (free if you bring, and show, your completed block from last month!), and we will share information about the block - both construction techniques and a correction to the directions. Those in our Border Creek Mystery series will meet at 10:30am in our classroom. I can’t believe how far we have gotten in the gorgeous project!

Designer Stephanie Sliwinski even offers a pattern, Color Patch Cascade, featuring the exquisite panel from the group. If I could just sew faster…
