Greetings!

Many guests have mentioned they find foundation piecing challenging. It’s so very easy to get mixed up when working from the back of the design. As it turns out, we’re not the only ones with that issue. My sweetie was finishing up work on new tile and fixtures in a shower earlier this week. Everything looks wonderful, just one tiny issue… He turned on the faucet and waited, and waited, and waited for the water to heat up… He then turned the handle to the cold setting and it got hot almost instantly. Nuts, working from behind the wall is just like working on the back of the foundation paper. He spun the back plate around to “fix” the issue. As long as no one minds the words being upside down, it should be fine. Don’t you wish we could do that with our foundation piecing errors?!

Wishing you a week where nothing turns out backwards,
Mary Beth
This Saturday (4-30-22) those registered for the end of the month pieced Saturday Sampler program will meet at 9:00am. If you are not certain which group you are in, give a quick call and we will look it up for you. We will pass out the next block kit (free if you bring your completed block from last month!), demonstrate how the block is made, and share show and tell. I wish the kits were a “stand alone” offering, but the meeting really is invaluable! See you Saturday!
Our Stash Management meeting is also this Saturday (4-30-22). Bring show and tell pieces made from your fabric collection, and organizing tips to share at the 10:30am meeting. We will provide another pattern to help you cut into the fabrics that fill your sewing space. I hope everyone can make it!
QC Anniversary Celebration ~ May 6th and 7th!
It’s time for a celebration to mark the beginning of our 34th year! Can you believe we’ve been at it that long? As the saying goes - time flies when you’re having fun! At the end of next week you will find a display of some of our favorite projects, and we will have a little fabric gift for you (a little roll containing thirty-four 5” squares!), and a little sweet. Also, be sure to look for our colossal anniversary door prize goodie basket filled with some of our favorite things (the drawing for the basket is at the end of May - you can enter the drawing every time you visit in May - be sure to check your QC date book for more info). We hope you can stop in - the party is our little way to thank you for joining us on our quilting journey!
Several wonderful prints from the Lilla fabric collection (new from Clothworks) have just arrived. The contemporary artwork featuring flowers and tone-on-tone prints is perfect for spring. Best of all, they are offered in bright purple and green - a combination we wish we could get more often! They will be perfect for home accents, bags, and even outfits for the little ones in your family. I fear these will be gone way too quickly…
Fabric $11.90 per yard
