Greetings!

So, what do you do if you have apples that are starting to go bad? My youngest figured she would make apple sauce, like we would here at home. She started by looking up a recipe. The recipe called for four apples, she had fifteen… After cooking them in a big pot, she realized she doesn’t have a potato masher (yes, that’s the way we’ve always done it here). She texted her friends to find out if they had one. Their responses - “What do you think?” and “We have a hammer.”... She spent a good deal of time using a fork, instead of a hammer! I haven’t told her she could have done it in batches in her mixer, and I’m thinking it’s best not to share that tip at this point!

Wishing you a week of wonderful projects, with all the right tools!

QC Game Day Super Sale!
Sunday ~ February 13th ~ 12:00pm-4:00pm

First, and most important, please change the date of this event in your QC date book (and maybe tell your friends to do the same!!!). I swear when I looked the date up last September it was listed as we published it in our date book - oh well… On Sunday, February 13th every in stock, regular price item in the shop will be offered at 25% off! Special orders, and pre-cut kits we have made for you are not included in the sale. This event has become a fan favorite, to say the least! Make your game plan in advance, and then hit the “field” (ok, just our shelves and shelves of fantastic goodies!). It tends to be very crowded early that day - I promise we still have lots of great goodies toward the end of the day, when the crowd is more manageable!
Those scheduled to begin our 2022 pieced Saturday Sampler program (Crystal Showers) the first Saturday of the month begin February 5th! We are busy getting ready for your 9:00am session - cutting kits, making samples, and figuring out all the information we want to share during the session. This series is going to result in fabulous quilts - can’t wait to welcome you on Saturday!

The 2022 Border Creek Mystery also begins on Saturday (2-5-22). The first 10:30am session will focus on fabric selection (easiest if you have a kit ordered, but we will share other options, too!) and an introduction to the techniques that will be used over the course of the eight installment program. You are going to love how organized this program is, and you are going to love the quilt that results!
It’s so much fun to open boxes here. We have been “patiently” waiting months for fabrics from M & S Textiles. We finally found them in the mountain of boxes today! The new Aboriginal prints are stunning. The flowing lines and dots that make up the pieces are worked in black, blue, plum, teal, green, pink and orange - the ten bolts are irresistible!
Fabric $12.70 per yard See these online...
It seems like a good day to repeat this ~
During the winter months, please call to be sure we have made it into the shop before you set out for a visit. The weather can be very different from neighborhood to neighborhood in this part of the world!

Please note ~ As the CDC and state pandemic rules are modified, we too change our requirements. If you are fully vaccinated you may now enter Quilters Corner without a mask (if you feel comfortable doing so). If you are not fully vaccinated please continue to wear a mask when you visit. So very sorry - we do not have a public restroom. Our shop hours are currently 10:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Saturday.
