Greetings!
I hit awful traffic after getting off the highway during a recent visit to Western NY. People were parking (and walking!) everywhere along the road that passes the football stadium. Even with my limited football knowledge, I figured it wasn’t a game on a Saturday afternoon... After dinner we decided to move my car closer to the apartment where I was staying. As we walked from the car, I stopped in my tracks. Not only could I hear music from the direction of the stadium, I could identify the singer! So, I can honestly tell everyone I heard the entire Billy Joel concert! Do you think I have to admit I was on a balcony almost a mile away?!

Thank you so very much for all your pillowcase making efforts! With your help, we were able to gather 2986 pillowcases over the course of the two week race! Every one will go to a child being treated at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. I’m pretty sure this is one of the very best ways to make an impact stitch by stitch! |

If you are in the end of the month Bright Hopes Saturday Sampler group, your next kit will be ready this Saturday (8-28-21). We will meet at 9:00am to share the blocks from last month, and to review details about the new block and information about all that is going on in the shop. You may also pick up your Simple Whatnots Club packet if you are part of the group (and yes, you can still join if you would like!). I love the petite August club project, “In and Out” - I think you will, too. |

Looking ahead, I realize our Sew a Jelly Roll Day event isn’t in your QC date book. Consider adding it to September 18th, and make plans to stop in on that day. Look for all the details (including info about a display showcasing Jelly Rolls and a free pattern to put them to use) in future letters! |
